Holy cow, it's October!

It's hard to believe that it's already October.  Time is flying.

In light of the fall season, I've been working on pumpkins.  So far I've crocheted 3 pumpkins...all different shapes and sizes.  I also plan on crocheting a few Jack O'Lanterns.  I'll post pictures later.  I know. I know...I keep saying I'll post pics, but I will!

Things have been hectic lately.  People have been calling out of work, so I've been working a lot more.  I don't mind the pay, but the job blows.  I won't get into that, though.

I just wanted to check in and post a little update.  I thought I'd blog more, but I haven't had the time!

Crochet, Golden Girls, and Low Fat Frozen Coffee

I've been on vacation since Wednesday and it's been glorious.  I've had so much time to work on my crocheting.  My current projects have included different varieties of mug cozies and baby beanies.

Speaking of babies....I'll be an aunt soon!!!  I'm so excited.  Baby Mason will soon be here.  I've crocheted him two beanies: One looks like a dinosaur and the other is just a plain beanie.  I can't wait to give Shelby these cute little gifts.  OH!  And I also crocheted her a "Baby Boy Cozy".  I'm so excited.

Aside from crocheting, I've tried to come up with yummy, low fat recipes.  This week I've been experimenting with frozen coffee.  After a few tries, I finally came up with the most simple frozen coffee recipe ever.  It's Weight Watchers friendly and waistline friendly.  It's the easiest recipe you'll ever make.

Yummy Frozen Coffee:

For this recipe, you can add any flavoring you'd like or you can keep it as is.

1 cup Skim Milk
1 Tbsp Instant Coffee- (I use Folger's Crystals.  You can also use more than or less than one tablespoon.  It all depends on how strong you would like your frozen coffee).
1 Handful of ice- (You can use as much ice as you'd like.  If you're using cubes, try maybe 3 or 4 cubes).
For my flavor, I used Smucker's Sugar Free Caramel Syrup...approximately 1/2 teaspoon.

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass, top with fat free whip cream, and voila!  Just sit back and enjoy this simple, tasty treat.

I love sharing recipes, but then again, I'm from the South.  There's nothing like sitting around a table with friends and family and exchanging recipes.  So much fun.

Now, I shall return to my crocheting and Golden Girls.

Bonjour!

It's been so long since I've had a blog!  So, I've decided to revamp this one.  You'll have to bear with me...it'll probably go through a lot of changes, such as background, colors, etc.

This blog will not have a specific theme.  It'll be more like random thoughts, projects I'm working on, recipes...just crazy randomness!

So, sit back and stay tuned.
